Women's Moot

What is it?

Introduced in 2015, the UOWLSS Women’s Moot tackles contemporary issues experienced by women in the legal profession. The final is followed by a luncheon titled the ‘Women in Law Luncheon’ and is attended by many well-respected and high-profile women who discuss and divulge their challenges in the workforce and the world.

Mooting is a rewarding co-curricular activity to develop skills inherent to the legal profession as well as aiding your future legal studies. Students are welcome and encouraged to compete, whether they have competed in the Junior Moot previously or not. Participation is highly esteemed throughout the legal profession, and a great way to enhance your resume and confidence.
