My role at the LSS entails providing our Law students with opportunities to understand the diverse careers and available pathways associated with having a Law degree. Like past years, I will be responsible for overseeing the Clerkship Guide, organising the Careers Fair, facilitating several workshops and releasing a series of helpful resources.
It is my ambition to see our Law students learn about how the legal industry has changed since the pandemic and preparing them for the future of law. If you have any suggestions or feedback regarding the Careers Portfolio, please feel free to send me an email and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
I look forward to working with you and helping make 2021 another successful year for the LSS.

I am currently completing my fourth year of a Law/Arts double degree, majoring in Japanese. My interests include linguistics and the way language shapes the law. I am also currently studying Norwegian, and wish to go on exchange in order to improve my proficiency.
Recently, I have been involved in administrative operations at Port Kembla Hospital, tutored Japanese, attended leadership bootcamps, and conducted research and related tasks within the Law Faculty.
As your VP (Education) for 2021, and in celebration of the LSS’ 30th anniversary, I wish to bring you all a variety of new skill-building opportunities to complement the knowledge gained in class. We have some crash-courses in the works, as well as some collaborations with the Competitions Portfolio.
As the leader of the LSS’ Wellbeing and Equity initiatives, I also hope to open up the many avenues of support available at UOW, through First Year Mentoring, the First Year Guide, Wellbeing Wednesday and Wellbeing Brunches. As a society, we have also renewed our commitment to diversity and inclusion, through modifying our procedures, and becoming listed under ACON’s Welcome Here Project.
If anyone has any questions about the Education portfolio or just want to chat, please do not hesitate to reach out. I wish everyone a year full of productivity and success!

Mature age students may feel like they may not fit, being a lot older than most student, however speaking from my experience here at UOW, everyone has been fantastic. Us oldies can learn a thing or two from the young students and vice versa.
My role Is to represent mature age students, raise any concerns students may have , bring ideas to the table to improve study life for students who make be juggling between study and life commitments.

This year Im thrilled to have joined the team at Foye as a law clerk. This means that between studying, working and volunteering for the LSS, I have very little time thats not consumed by law. I like to fill these rare moments with cheerleading, yoga and volunteering for Relay for Life Nowra.

I think that involvement in academic competitions at university is one of the best extracurricular activities for a law student’s development and I would encourage everyone to get involved!
